can be exposed to moulds and mycotoxins through animal-based
food (Markov et al., 2013). Since the contamination with mycotoxins,
in particular with AFB1, is unavoidable, it is important to
seek for possible ways to prevent it, or through the inhibition of
aflatoxigenic mould growth, or by reduction of the presence of AFB1
in food and feed.
