VII. CONCLUSION
In comparison to sourcing from local markets, global sourcing is usually associated with increased disruptions as well as poorer transparency and visibility, [17]. These disruptions also apply and affect information as it moves through the supply chain. Disruptions and risks within supply chain may have a severe impact on an organization's output and financial performance. Clearly, the understanding of supply chain information vulnerabilities assists managers in assessing the vulnerability of their supply chains, and in comparing the efficiency and effectiveness of the different information management strategies. Findings from the interviews have shown that information is one of the major components that flow in any supply chain. There was also a consensus from the interviews that one of the major ways to counteract information risk within a supply chain was to install an information system that supports information management, and also implements a standard information management policy. Supply chain information management like any other management approach is dependent on an efficient and effective quality management strategy. This strategy should include a combination of actions, processes and individuals with appropriate experience and adequate knowledge and skills of information systems.
