Hydraulic resistance data are limited compared with heat transfer
data at supercritical pressures. Pressure drop at supercritical
pressures is different from that at subcritical pressures because of the significant variations in thermophysical properties near the
pseudo-critical and critical points (Pcr = 22.064MPa, tcr = 647.096 K).
In many studies, pressure drop due to flow acceleration is
neglected. However, pressure drop caused by flow acceleration is
significant within the pseudo-critical region.
