The knowledge obtained
by such analysis will contribute to the explanation of how plants
regulate their sensitivity to ET. On the other hand, it is necessary
a much more thoroughful expression study of the various genes,
at the tissue level, preferably using in situ hybridisation. We are
not quite sure that the ET signalling pathway, even in
Arabidopsis, is completely understood. Finally, the majority
of the current knowledge on the mechanism and action of the
ET has been mainly carried out in Arabidopsis and tomato. That
is, it will be necessary to investigate other situations when the
genomic resources are available.
