Welcome to the first offering of 16.00x Introduction to Aerospace Engineering: Astronautics and Human Spaceflight! The course officially began on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 14:00 UTC.
To get started, navigate to the "Courseware" tab and select "Unit 1: Introduction to 16.00x." In this unit, we will first give an overview of the 16.00x content and go over course logistics and how to use the edX platform. Then, we will discuss what engineering -- and in particular, aerospace engineering -- is all about, and what we mean when we talk about "The Aerospace Perspective".
We also want to learn about you. Please take a few minutes to fill out the Entrance Survey as well as post in the "Tell us about yourself" discussion thread in Subsection 1.1.5.
If you have questions about the 16.00x content or website, we encourage you to use the discussion forum to communicate with other students in the class as well as with the staff. Also, don't forget to follow 16.00x on Facebook and use #1600x on Twitter.
We are glad you have joined us, and are looking forward to interacting with you!
