Two videos of soldiers restraining a group of vocational students carrying knives have gone viral on the internet, with many on social media praising soldiers for their resoluteness.
The videos were uploaded yesterday by Facebook user Prik Paknampran.
According to Prik, the soldiers ordered about 20 vocational students to get off public bus No.132 near Bangkok’s Bang Na intersection. The students then sat down on the pavement. When the soldiers searched their bags, they found several knives, sharp objects and a bottle of alcohol.
The men in green then told all the students to get on a military truck for further questioning.
It is not known where the students were taken or what happened to them.
The videos received positive feedback from many Thai netizens, saying the soldiers were quick and resolute in dealing with the vocational students, some of whom have been known for hooligan-style behaviour.
