I am delighted to be able to announce that SGS has entered into a new global agreement with an external security service provider (The Anvil Group), which means that we can provide you with travel related Security / Medical support whenever you travel on SGS business. Working in partnership, SGS Corporate Security, Corporate HR and the Anvil Group can now ensure that whenever you travel, you have:
1. Access to destination specific security/medical advice (before and during travel
2. Automated alerts during travel, if an external security/medical risk event occurs (e.g. riot)
3. Access to a 24/7 multi-lingual call centre, to assist your security/medical needs
4. Access to physical support (including evacuation support), should the need arise
For the service to work proactively, your travel itinerary will need to be loaded into the Anvil system. Unless this happens, we will not be able to proactively support you and we may not know that you are in need of assistance, should something go wrong. Already, several of the larger SGS affiliates have implemented data feeds; Corporate Security will be working with the remaining affiliates during 2014 to ensure that their travellers also receive the full benefits of the service.
In the meantime, all SGS travellers may access the on-line travel risk information and can call the 24/7 call centre number should you need emergency assistance. Also, if you are undertaking a risky journey or if you are an inexperienced/vulnerable traveller, then you can send your travel details to travelsecurity@sgs.com (Corporate Security will complete the manual upload in the short term, giving you access to the proactive support).
