3.2.3. Changes during the thawing process
Thawing easily occurs in the initial evacuated stage prior to
MFD process or due to an excessive supply of microwave energy
to frozen samples during the sublimation of ice crystals. So, understanding
dielectric properties of the frozen samples in the thawing
process is also important in designing the optimal parameters in
the MFD process such as microwave power, drying pressure and
