Condo-TV was, at this point, literally broke. From time to time Donnelly would sell a family heirloom to play off a troublesome bill collector. But the company’s three full-time employees, including Stanley, received no income and were themselves having a difficult time. Yet, while there was a real urgency in finalizing the agreement with Gotham Publishing, there was a concern on Doris Donnelly’s part that things be done properly.
