Attach the specimen to a mandrel of diameter 20mm. Attach a weight of 0.5 kg to the other end of the specimen. Cool
the assembled specimen and mandrel to -40 +/- 3 °C (-25 +/- 3 °C if the tape is made of polyvinyl chloride [PVC]) for a
period of four hours. While still chilled and in the chamber, wrap the specimen at least two times around the mandrel.
After exposure and wrapping is complete, visually inspect the specimen for any cracks, tears, loss of adhesion (as
defined in section 6.1) or other forms of degradation and measure the length of the tape ends that are flagging, if any.
Record and report any change in appearance and signs of degradation.
