A homeless man was busted Friday at the Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut after he was linked to a Midtown deli stabbing, police sources said.
The suspect was picked up by tribal police at about 2 p.m. Friday after the NYPD pinged his cellphone and determined he was at the casino, sources said.
He allegedly stabbed Luis Martinez, at the New Star Cafe, a hangout for Times Square’s costumed characters at 552 Seventh Ave., about 9:35 p.m. Tuesday.
Sources initially thought he was a Winnie the Pooh character, but investigators later determined that was not the case, cops said.
The man’s name is being withheld because he has not yet been charged with a crime.
He has not yet been extradited to New York.
