. While a joint inversion of ambient noise and teleseismic data may in some circumstances be beneficial, the lack of spatial overlap between the WOMBAT teleseismic and ambient noise datasets means that there is unlikely to be any gain in this case. The teleseismic dataset is capable of resolving structure to a minimum depth of about 50 km, while the maximum depth of resolution of the ambient noise dataset is around 30–35 km. Thus, a small gap still needs to be filled by the AuSREM Moho and mantle model.
