WHAT TO DO
Help your children fingerprintsall the family by putting their index finger on the stamp pad and rolling it backwards and forwards. Thed place the finger on a piece of paper ant again roll it backwards and forwards. Help them write the person’s name beside each fingerprint.
Now they can play the detective and look for fingerprints in the house and see if they can identify them. When they find one, show them how to lightly dust it with cornflour using a little paintbrush. Then They carefully blow away the excess cornflour and they’ll be able to clearly see the fingerprint. They may need to use magnifying glass to clearly identify the print.
Now you’ll be able to find out who’s been raiding the refrigerator and biscuit jar!

WHAT TO DO
Before you go for walks with your children, or short drives in the car together, look up where you are going in your street directory. Work out a route together and directions. Look for local landmarks such as schools, churches, shopping centres and parks on the map.
As your children gain mapping skills, make them the‘ navigator’ for longer trips to places you have not been to before. Keep your cool! You will probably get lost a few times, but many adults go through their whole lives few times, but many adults go through their whole lives without ever developing a good sense of direction. Help your children gain mastery over this important life skill in a fun and relaxing way. Besides, all the walks will be great for your own fitness level!
