LOUIS DAGUERRE FROM FRANCE
Louis Daguerre was a painter for the French opera. But he wanted to make a new type of picture. He started his experiments in the 1920. Twelve years later he invented the photograph government in 1935 and the government gave it to the world. Daguerre called the first photographs ‘daguerreotypes’. They became popular very fast. By 1940, there were 70 daguerreotype studios in New York City.
