Impact assessment: propensity score matching The farmer participation in the community forest management can
result in the increase in household income and a reduction in poverty
levels; the potential benefits of participation in community forestmanagement
has been estimated by employing the propensity score
matching approach. The propensity score matching corrects for potential sample selection biasedness that may arise due to systematic
differences between the participation in community forest management
and non-participation in community forest management.
It follows that the expected treatment effect for the treated population
is of primary significance.
