85 ELECTRICAL COMMON SYSTEMS

All equipment, switchgear etc. to be in accordance with maker’s list.
Equipment to be in accordance with the IEC-Publication 92 “Electrical Installations in Ships or equal. The Installation will be n accordance with the classification society and the national authorities.
The material and equipment throughout shall be of first class quality and shall haven been proven suitable for marine application on board vessels for unrestricted service.
The distribution system will be 3-phase, 43-wire plus 1-spare wire for the 400 V and 230 V system, frequency is 50Hz. See Guidance Plan E2.
The main parts of the electrical systems are:
1. Auxiliary engine driven main generators (2 pcs)
2. Harbour generator (1 pc)
3. 400 V switchboard
4. 400V/230 V transformer (2 pcs)
5. 230 V/switchboard
6. 24 V for radio station (batt)
7. 24V for engine systems (trafo)
8. 24 V for emergency light (batt)
The builder will be responsible for all documentation required by the classification society and other authorities i.e drawings, calculations and equipment certificates.
