The model is rated low on comprehensiveness since it focuses solely on a narrow segment of cognitive activity, relegating to other theories the task of explaining the rest of children’s intellectual life as well as all matters of children’s behavior and their sense of self.
So Kohlberg ‘s theory, like the rest we have considered, has drawn both praise and criticism. But whatever its shortcomings , it remains the most stimulating and potentially fertile model of children’s moral growth in current psychological and philosophical circles. For this reason, I have rate it as moderately self-satisfying overall.
