Bilateral vestibular dysfunction causes serious disabilities and handicaps.19 The aim of vestibular rehabilitation in bilateral vestibular dysfunction is the prevention of falls by focusing on the remaining propioceptive and visual sensory strategies.20 In a review of 14 studies on the effect of vestibular re- habilitation on bilateral vestibular dysfunction, ves- tibular rehabilitation was found to provide moderate strength and improved gaze and postural stability.3 However, vestibular rehabilitation appears to be less effective for bilateral vestibular dysfunction com- pared to unilateral vestibular dysfunction, and only 50% of patients with bilateral vestibular dysfunction are thought to benefit from rehabilitation.21 Brown et al
