The objectives of this study were (1) to assess the
antimicrobial effect of AMS on the growth of A.
pleuropneumoniae in in vitro experiments, (2) to measure
the obtained systemic blood levels of AMS after feeding
pigs with lyophilized garlic bulb and (3) to examine the
effect of garlic on clinical and pathological changes after
an A. pleuropneumoniae infection in pigs.
