Termination of Tests
• Failure of the monitoring system.
• Chest pain.
• Significant drop or increase in blood pressure.
• Light headedness, confusion, ataxia (loss of muscle
coordination), pallor, cyanosis (bluish discoloration of
the skin), nausea, or any sign of peripheral circulatory
insufficiency.
• Other ECG and heart sound irregularities.
• In general, we never want to go above about 85% of a
subjects maximum heart rate without taking special
precautions.
