This paper proposed a mobile voice navigation system
that utilizes user-based mobile map annotations. In the
proposed system, a node landmark model enables users
to add various annotations to landmarks according to their
observation points. It also includes an FST script generator
for voice navigation and a mobile map annotation system.
The results of experiments conducted in which the guide
annotations added by users and the content of the navigation
generated were evaluated verified that the system is
effective. The results also indicate, however, that users may
add information that complicates navigation. Therefore, in
future work, we will consider how to select the best guide
annotations from those submitted by users.
