Abstract:
As renewable resources, terpenes and their derivates gain significant interest in industry. Due to the relatively high boiling points of terpenes and their derivates, extraction processes are preferred over purification by distillation. However, at present there are no equilibrium data, which are necessary for a process development, available. Thus, the goal of this project is the estimation of the liquid-liquid equilibria containing terpenes and their derivates and to model them using the PC-SAFT equation of state.
