The museum embodies the theory of how knowledge can be applied for practical use. This application is an important element of the “Sufficiency Economy” advocated by H.M. the King. Being a learning center, the museum provides and emphasizes learning processes that also encompass fun and pleasure – with its technological devices including a 3-dimentional movie house, models, reconstructed scenes, and a variety of multi-media, all encouraging self- studies. The museum’s land area is about 300 rai. The areas outside the buildings are used for demonstrative agricultural plots, rice cultivating, mushroom culturing, poultry raising, fish farming, vegetable growing in restricted lots, manufacturing of agricultural products (composts, organic fertilizers, charcoal briquettes, wood vinegar), as well as energy generating using solar cells.
