One-way ANOVAs were conducted to investigate how the students’ depression was influenced by their discipline. Students from humanities and social sciences are reportedto have significantly higher levels of depression compared to students from science and management streams (p < 0.05) (Table 4). Further, one-way AVOVA results (F value = 3670) indicated thatcompared to students with moderate and above average academic performances, students performing poorly were sufferinghigherlevel of depression (p < 0.01). No significant difference was found in depression among students coming from different economic backgrounds (F value = 2.169).
