In this study, the students’ self-reflections toward being successful in the course were asked as a part of the attitude scale. As it can be seen in Table 6, they mostly responded that they need to study hard in order to get a good grade in this course but, at the same time, expressed that they were determined to get a high grade. On the other hand, the results showed that 66 % of the students had a concern that achievement in this course affects their general achievement level. In this respect, only one third of them considered this course easy to pass. Moreover, almost half of the students agreed that participating in the course activities was adequate to succeed in this course. Besides, it was remarkable that nearly all students considered they would gain permanent values in this course. These results underscore that the students have taken this course seriously and considered it important for gaining permanent knowledge.
