However, the methodology as applied to the case
study has its fair share of shortcomings. First, it requires
a set of data for its proper demonstration, but
data availability has been a key factor preventing the
application of the methodology to the case study to
its fullest extent. The deficiency of data started with
the choice of site. Since no mine in the planning
stage was available for application of the methodology,
it was applied on operating mines only. Therefore,
the case studies incorporated in the work, while
adequately demonstrating the efficiency of the developed
methodology, cannot be treated as a full-scale
impact assessment
