(close to boil). The wool fabrics inherited the LSPR properties of silver
NPs and showed vivid colors. The color was tunable by changing
the shape and size of silver NPs assembled on the fiber surface.
The assembling process was through the electrostatic interaction
between metal NPs and wool fibers. The pH value of NP solution
had a significant effect on the NP assembling process, with an optimum
pH value of about 4.0. The obtained wool fabrics showed a
prominent antibacterial function (against E. coli) also. The combination
of plasmon materials and different fibers has the potential
in functionalizing a range of conventional textile materials.
