The kinematic assessment was followed by taping both feet of the participants, restricting the plantar
flexion–internal rotation flexibility. The restriction consisted of 2 S-locks with elastic tape, 3 Slocks
with non-elastic tape, 2 simple heel locks with elastic tape and 2 simple heel locks with nonelastic
tape. After taping, active and passive internal rotation and plantar flexion ROM were measured
again to confirm that the tape significantly reduced the internal rotation (restriction of 15% active and
22% passive on average) and the plantar flexion (restriction of 30% active and 29.5% passive on
average)
