and it could lead to degradation of the oil (Canakci, 2007). The reason for auto oxidation is due to the presence of double
bounds in the chains of unsaturated fatty acids compounds. The free fatty acids in the extracts with methanol from
the oils were analyzed by HPLC. Oleic acid and linoleic acid were detected in the FFA extract from CJCO, and their concentrations were much higher than FFA in the methanol extracts from CPO and NCO. The precise contents of FFA in the oils were analyzed by GC, and the total concentrations of FFA in the oils were 14.9% w/w for JCJO, 7.2% w/w for CPO and 1.8% w/w for NCO, respectively (see Table 2).
