A man seen with TV actor and programme host Akanat "Nott" Ariyaritwikul, whilerepeatedly punched a motorcyclist in a viral video, is also facing charges of colluding to assault the biker.
Witawat Sribanditmongkol, a 29-year-old health and physical education teacher at a high school, turned up at Yannawa police station to acknowledge the charge at 1am yesterday.
Mr Witawat denied the charge and refused to give a statement to police, saying he will fight the charge in court, according to officers.
On Nov 4, Akanat, 28, repeatedly punched Kittisak Singto, a 26-year-old motorcyclist who scraped a rear light of his Mini Cooper on Charoen Krung Road, and tried to force him to prostrate before his car.
His actions were captured on a mobile phone and subsequently went viral, sparking a public outcry.
Mr Kittisak told police his motorcycle was hit by a taxi, knocking him off balance.
His motorcycle then sideswiped Mr Akanat's car.
Mr Kittisak, who suffered a broken nose, later told the media that he tried to flee the scene after the accident, though he insisted his motorcycle was bumped by a taxi.
