In a 1984 interview in Japan, TT was sobbing because she felt that she was a foreigner in every country. Mainland china banned her. Some Taiwanese rejected her because her family was chinese immigrants. The Japanese would never consider her a Japanese. So she settled in HK where no one was against her. But the student movement and the 1997 takeover drove her to France.
Then when she passed away, all the countries want to claim her as their own. Can there be anything more pathetic than that???
