The Thai women got off to a winning start, taking the first set 25-22. The Chinese women took the second set, however, taking the final two points after the score was tied at 24-24. The next game was even tighter, going to 25-25, but this time it was the young Thais who took the last two points and the set.
The Thai women then dominated the final set, coming away with a 25-20 win and the championship trophy.
