The findings highlight the degree of similarity in Human Resource Management approaches adopted by all companies, the limited extent of differentiation and the three clusters identified, and the very restricted evidence of unique differentiation in individual company Human Resource Management practices. The best practice Strategic Human Resource Management form or table stakes approach is seen in Human Resouce Management practices which companies adopt in order to be socially legitimate in an industry (Boxall and Purcell, 2008; Bjorkman, 2006).
