Essential Job Functions
- Supports labor-management effort (champions the process) in the institution; including overseeing the development of project team charters; provides orientation, training, and coaching of team members; facilitates team meetings; verifies workforce input and involvement in projects; and assists in monitoring the implementation and institutionalization of changes.
- Coordinates communications about Labor-Management Collaboration projects through the Communications Committee and other sources. Assists in developing and maintaining forums for two-way dialogue in the hospital, where news, information, and issues can be shared and discussed.
- Serves as facilitator to the Labor-Management Collaboration; assists the cochairs with the development of goals, projects, and work plans with timelines; and evaluates processes for the partnership each year.
- Oversees work plans and progress on joint projects. Provides necessary administrative support including coordination of resources and follow-up training. Information, and facilitation of project team meetings.
- Organizes training to support strategic alliance work, as necessary.
- Responsible for keeping abreast of industry news, both health care and union, for self and Medical Center.
- Maintains established Medical Center policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement standards, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
