On time 1 , Kohlberg can be credited with basing his model on data drawn from a variety of real children. However, there is a question about how realistic he was in the scope of moral decisions that he analyzed. The theory is founded on evidence collected from having children and youths offer solutions to moral dilemma incidents posed to them. Since Kohlberg wanted to make the respondents think hard in order to test their reasoning, he necessarily posited incidents that had no obvious solutions in terms of the dominant standards of a child’s culture.
