As a student of University I have laid out a few personal goals for
myself to achieve. I divided my goals into two categories a long-term goals and
My short-term goals are to develop essential skills such as research skills,
written communication skills, personal management, critical thinking, get a better
understanding of education system in United States, which will help me in my
long-term educational goals, and to get a training and education that will
contribute to my success at today is very competitive job market. I want to
strengthen my decision making skills in IT operations and strategy, increase my
knowledge of management, business low, economics, finance and improve my
analytical skills and problem-solving ability. I expect that University
will give me academic background necessary to succeed in project management,
software development and strategic planning.
My long-term goal is to graduate from University of with G.P.A. of 3.5
or higher. There are two reasons for it. First reason is very simple ambitions.
Second reason is that after earning my Masters degree, my plans are to start
Doctoral program in computing at University. One of the admission
requirements there is GPA no lower then 3.5. So, I'm under a lot of pressure to
keep my scores as high as possible. I intend to pursue Doctoral degree in
Information Systems to become a researcher at university level. This is very
important for me because I am strongly believe in life-long learning and helping
I believe that attaining my MS CIS degree is the corner-stone to achieving my
goals. I feel that this is my best opportunity to gain continued knowledge of the
field of Information Systems which will help me understand the context of
information technology in development, and will lead
