(200 g/DM/ewe) and Abbeddou et al. (2011a,b) (300 g/DM/ewe) reported no effect on milk protein and milk fat from ewes
fed olive cake. In this study, ewes were once-a-day milked, that may explain the relative low fat percentage compared to
Chiofalo et al. (2004) and Abbeddou et al. (2011a,b), since it has been found that under those circumstances much of the
milk fat is retained by the ewe in mixed milking systems (Jaeggi et al., 2008).
