The longer duration of ingestion in the therapeutic misadventure cases did not allow direct comparison of serial biochemical and haematological data with those in the deliberate overdose group. Figures for peak mean INR and creatinine (8.9 3.0 and 414 83.8 mmol/l, respectively) and minimum mean platelet count (85ฑ17 109/l) were similar to those in the deliberate overdose group (INR 8.9 vs. 10.2 creatinine 414 vs. 442 mmol/l) but the minimum platelet count was lower in the latter group (52 vs. 85 109/l).
