3.1.3. Third application (July 4th, 2012)
During this application the persimmon orchard was sprayed
again with Dursban® and Divipan® mixture. Unlike previous campaigns,
sampling was conducted using two TTPV-2 positioned next
to each other on the school lawn (sampling height 1.5 m above
ground), operating as replicates. Sampling intervals were as follows:
Application (July 4th 21:00eJuly 5th 08:00), First postapplication
(July 5th 08:00eJuly 5th 20:00), Second postapplication
(July 5th 20:00eJuly 6th 11:00), Third postapplication
(July 6th 11:00eJuly 7th 11:00), and Fourth postapplication
(July 7th 11:00eJuly 8th 17:00). During application
northern winds were prevailing (See SI). As in May 2010, both CP
and its degradation product CPO were detected throughout the
entire campaign. Measured concentrations of both compounds
were in the same order of magnitude as in the 2010 and 2011
(Fig. 2). No attempt was made to quantify DDVP as it was found to
be too volatile for the HVS (breach from the PUF plugs)
