It was 180 days of transitioning fleet activities and facilities divided into 2 waves. The first began in March, the second in June, and since September
CREFM’s organization is in Latin America. And we are already reaping the benefits of deploying CREFM in Latin America. One of them is the facilities portal on myServices, where any Syngenta employee may open a request for repairs or improvements to our sales offices or our research stations.
This is another improvement we are doing at the Sao Paulo Site. We have installed sliding doors with the purpose of improving two points; increasing the safety of our facilities, and including and allowing the simple and quick access of our employees, expanding our inclusion and facilitating the lives of people. Another important points, even though it had been implemented before CREFM, such as the open space, this is a model that we’ll employ in all over Latin America. Sao Paulo is an example, in Ribeirao Preto, Londrina, the city of Panama, and Bogota we already use this model and now we started in Goiania and also in Mexico City, this transition where these spaces can be used by our employees, increasing integration, increasing collaboration between them, and also facilitation the day-to-day and integration of the teams.
One of the benefits from the implementation of CREFM in Latin America is the management of our lease and condominium agreements throughout the region. Here in Sao Paulo we are already reaping the benefits with the negotiation of our contract and reduction of the cost by 36% already in 2016. Another point is our fleet. Today we have a global platform, with all of our vehicles loaded into this platform, where we manage mileage, consumption, maintenance expenses, thus increasing the efficiency of our vehicles and also improving the safety of our employees.
2016 was a year of great transition. We created a new team, we now have people who are experts in facilities and fleet. This is only beginning of this transformation and, of course, there’s a long way to go.
