Increased and decreased enhancements(-20 HU) have both been described[8.16]. Abnormal enhance- ment of the pancreas occurs secondary to the vasoconstrictive sympathetic response, but, similarly, these findings can be mimicked when there is direct injury to the organ. The presence of structural abnormalities or signs of ductal injury or fragmentation differentiates direct organ injury from HSC.
