It is soon to determine the ultimate impact Jean Piaget’s theory will have on our understanding of cognitive development. Yet we must recognize that we would not know as must as we do about children’s intellectual development without the monumental contributions of Piaget. He noted many ways in which children seem to differ from adults, and he shed light on how adults acquire fundamental concepts such as the concepts of apace, time, morality, and causality. Contemporary researchers have attempted to integrate of Piaget’s theory into cognitive learning and information-processing theories.
