A new 5.2km bicycle lane in Prachuap Khiri Khan has been completed at an expense of 30 million baht, allocated by the Ministry of Transport.
It route runs along old Phetkasem Road starting from Hua Hin Soi 97 around the Khao Ta Kiab area to Khao Tao. Along the route, cyclists can stop by Rajabhakti Park, Suan Son and Khao Tao beaches. The 3m-wide bike route has two lanes separate from the main road.
It also has designated signboards for bicycles and rest stops along the route.
The ministry plans to link this bicycle lane to another bike lane from Khao Tao to Pak Nam Pran in Pran Buri district, which is under construction and scheduled to be completed within the year-end. The bike road will be extended from the southern part of Hua Hin to Prachuap Khiri Khan, a total length of 100km.
