The owner of a Thai-food restaurant in the United States has been shot dead during a robbery, according to a report.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported on Monday Somphot Aromsuk, 34, the owner of the Mai Thai restaurant on Lawrenceville Highway in Dekalb County, Georgia, was shot during an armed robbery after closing the restaurant on Saturday night.
The gunman, who killed Somphot in the parking lot, was last seen in a black Mitsubishi-style vehicle. But friends who visited the restaurant Monday suspect the gunman took Somphot's Black Honda Civic during the crime.
Somphot bought the restaurant two years ago after he had moved to the US three years earlier, Fox 5 said, quoting his mother.
