It is also important to note that other actors in the social network such as input suppliers and traders can act as
“bridges” and “gatekeepers”, and have the capacity to facilitate or block interventions (Prota, 2012).
Interventionists, therefore, should include these actors to remove potential barriers and
accelerate adoption of climate change adaptation options.
In addition, development projects could also employ tools such as the Resilience, Adaptation Pathways and Transformation Assessment Framework (O'Connell et al., 2016) to assist the community to better understand the need for adaptation and collectively devise effective adaptation pathways.
