Hi Kantnicha
Just thought I would touch base re Nakom. We were finally able to get the wetsuit for Tihoi from the school shop. He probably told you it was the hardest thing to try on, but he knows how to get it on now. It needed to be tight fitting to stop any water getting in. I am just waiting on two pairs of very warm pants for him to take. Everything is labelled now so nothing should get lost in the washing at Tihoi.
I have decided to take Nakom and another boy that I will be guardian for down to Tihoi on the first day. I would like to make sure that they have everything set up and are comfortable down there. Cyn who runs Tihoi has told me she will take extra care of him.
I have noticed that he is now going to lunch with a group of students from the International Department. This is good. It means that he is probably starting to settle in well.
At Tihoi he will be in a house with seven other boys and I am sure will make some good friendships.
He is starting to speak more English which is great. I think the app he has on his phone is also helping with the language. He was not feeling very well last Friday but we were able to tell the School Nurse what it was because of the app on his phone and then she could help him – I think his body is adjusting to the different type of food that he is eating here.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
