I think having the morning classes will give you more incentive to get up and be productive. And since you are a freshman it should be easier since presumably you are still used to getting up for school (i.e. high school).
I prefer afternoon classes because if you have a test that day you have more time to study the material. My Bio class is 6:25-7:40, and I have a lot of time to study before the test, so sometimes it helps having an afternoon/evening class.
I prefer afternoon classes because make going to school in time classes in deadlines. But the downside is Terrible for parking and Will tempt you to sleep in and not concentrate on studies after you eat lunch. You'll be less likely to fall asleep than morning unless the class is boring or you come after lunch
