The household and commercial sectors consumed 222,661 bbl per day of energy, falling 1.1% from 2013 level. LPG consumption, meanwhile, fell by 9.2% as a result of a strict control by the government in early 2013 which prohibited transfer of household LPG to other sectors as well as LPG price adjustment. Electricity consumption was up by 3.1% from increased demand in retail, restaurants, and the hotel industry.
