A qualitative method was adopted towards achieving the research objective in this study. Moreover, qualitative research is concerned with meaning, not with generalising hypothesis statements (Mason, 2010). This study mainly focuses on exploring the best practices in marketing strategies for the Malaysian business event industry. Thus, the researcher uses “theory” to explain the case study observed and to categorise the results of this inductive method of constructing broad themes (Creswell, 2009), depending on data analysis and theoretical generalisation.
