HIGH and specific running LOW’’. A performance comparison
after CST in HYP vs. NOR groups revealed that the
HYP group reached higher lactate values due to the performance
of a greater number of repeated interval sets. The
observed improvement could be possibly due to the good
response in the behavior of the oxygen-independent glycolysis
pathway. The hematologic measurements after the CST
showed a similar trend, which would rule out a priori any
improvement-related hematology. CST performed in hypoxia
could be a valid method of providing a greater stimulus to
the anaerobic pathway equivalent to the specific resistance
training related to muscle property performance. However,
this result was unclear and should be considered preliminary
until further research has been completed
